Background ArtRetrofittable lock operating devices for conventional deadbolt locks are widely used today. Such a lock operating device may be mounted on theinside of a door for locking and unlocking an existing deadbolt lock. Typically, the lock operating device has a base plate that is screwed toa mounting plate by means of a plurality of screws. However, mounting a door lock operating device this way is cumbersome and time consuming. Summary of the lnvention lt is an object of the present invention to provide an improvedelectronic door lock operating assembly that provides for easy mounting. These and other objects that will be apparent from the followingsummary and description are achieved by an electronic door lock operatingassembly according to the appended claims. According to an aspect of the present disclosure there is provided anelectronic door lock operating assembly, comprising a lock operating deviceand a mounting plate for attaching the lock operating device to a door, saidmounting plate being configured to be secured to the door and interact with abase plate of the lock operating device, wherein each of said base plate andsaid mounting plate has an engagement portion, wherein said engagementportions are configured to mechanically engage each other so as torotationally lock said base plate to said mounting plate and the electronic door lock operating assembly further comprises a retaining element adapted tomaintain said engagement portions engaged to each other. The connection portions are configured to prevent relative rotationbetween the mounting plate and the retaining element and is thus configuredto maintain the mounting plate and the retaining element rotationally locked toeach other. The retaining element thus maintains the connection portions inan engaged state. The connection portions may be complementary in shapeto rotationally lock the device to the mounting plate as soon as the connectionportion of the lock operating device is received by the connection portion ofthe mounting plate. The retaining element, which can be positioned without the use oftools, enables very easy and fast mounting of the electronic door lockoperating device. Hence, if the mounting plate has been pre-mounted, toolfree mounting of the device is enabled. The connection portions and theretaining element together form a robust attachment of the door lockoperating device to a door. Furthermore, the engagement portions allow the lock operating deviceto be mounted in different positions, which provides for a flexible solution. According to one embodiment said lock operating device comprises anelongated housing. According to one embodiment said engagement portions areconfigured for mounting of said base plate in at least two, preferably at leastfour, different positions relative to said mounting plate. According to one embodiment the retaining element is resilient. According to one embodiment the resilient retaining element is ring-shaped. According to one embodiment the resilient retaining element is an openretaining ring. According to one embodiment each of said engagement portionscomprises at least two engagement projections. According to one embodiment the engagement portion of saidmounting plate comprises at least two engagement projections that, when themounting plate is secured to a door, project in a direction away from said door, and the engagement portion of said base plate comprises at least twoengagement projections that, when said base plate is attached to a door, project in a direction toward said door. According to one embodiment said at least two engagementprojections of each of said engagement portions are L-shaped, as seen in across section. According to one embodiment the electronic door lock operatingassembly further comprises a retaining element cover that is configured tocover the retaining element in a mounted position.
